Our Management Team

Ismaël Fadiga is the Founder of SoRisk3 & Compliant.

He has occupied Senior, Management, Senior Management, Senior Quant. roles in the areas of Risk & Compliance within the Asset Management, Banking, and Consulting sectors in London and Luxembourg over the past 13 years. Having headed the Risk Management Department of a SIAG, then the Risk Management Unit of a Super ManCo, managed teams of regulatory risk advisors and analysts, he has successfully led several entrepreneurial projects in Luxembourg such as : the setup of a SIAG (SICAV), the creation of risk management services (incl. risk team) for a consulting firm, and lately the creation of a RegTech headquartered in Luxembourg.

As an experienced and approved Risk Manager by the « Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier » (CSSF), Academic Teacher in Financial Innovation, Ismaël is passionate about Risk Management & Compliance, Research & Technology, and the Law or Regulation applicable to the financial sector. He is also a software developer experienced in developing regulatory-based software applications in Finance.

Mr. Fadiga holds a MA Finance & Investment (Distinction) from Nottingham University Business School (UK), DEA in Finance from the University Lumière Lyon II (FR), and a BSc in Economics from the University of Delaware (USA). He is also certified (Developer Certificate) in Blockchain, Cloud, etc.

Board Member

Robert Liebl is an Associate Director of CommSol Associates Ltd., and is based in Luxembourg. He will support SoRisk3 & Compliant in an advisory and mentoring capacity.

He joined CommSol in 2019 to provide support in Strategy and Execution. Robert has been working in the financial services industry for 20 years. Before joining CommSol he was most recently Interim Senior Product Implementation manager for a Big4 Consultancy firm and prior to that Senior Change manager at both JPMorgan Asset Management and JPMorgan Bank. He was the global Location Strategy Programme manager for Global Fund services, focusing on Change and Execution management.

Supporting the People, Process and Technology agenda’s, Robert’s key focus is in Change management, Transformation and large Programme implementations. He is Luxembourg based and brings a Global mindset, having worked in Europe, US, Asia and Australia with particular emphasis on Change and People impacts. Robert is part of the CommSol senior team and leads the Luxembourg presence.

Advisers

Jang Schiltz is the Study director of the Master in Wealth Management at the University of Luxembourg.

Previously appointed as director of the Luxembourg School of Finance (LSF), the research unit in finance of the University of Luxembourg from 2016 til 2019, Jang joined the University of Luxembourg in 2003 as an associate professor in applied mathematics, after the completion of his PhD in stochastic analysis.

His current research interests are mathematical finance, as well as theoretical statistics and its application to finance. Jang is the author or co-author of more than fifty papers and research reports and attends international conferences regularly. He teaches probability, statistics and data analysis.

Dr. Schiltz is a member of the digital strategy working group of the University of Luxembourg. He is also board member of the Luxembourg Statistical Society and treasurer of the Mathematical Society of Luxembourg.

Axel Buchner is a full Professor of Finance at ESCP Business School (Berlin Campus), Chair of Entrepreneurial Finance and Corporate Finance.

His research interests include corporate finance, private equity, venture capital, IPOs, asset pricing, option pricing, and continuous-time finance modeling. He has published articles in these areas in leading scholarly journals, including the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Business Venturing, and the Journal of International Business Studies.

In 2014, he was honored with a renowned research award from the Coller Institute of Venture at Tel Aviv University for his paper “The Alpha and Beta of Private Equity Investments”. He has teaching experience in all areas of Finance from University of Passau, Technical University of Munich, EDHEC Business School, and from the Elite Graduate Program Finance & Information Management (FIM).

Outside of academia, he has gained experience in the private equity industry as the Head of Research at the Center of Private Equity Research (CEPRES) and in many consulting projects for the financial industry.

Before joining ESCP Dr. Buchner was Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Passau, where he has recently completed his habilitation (German Post-Doctoral University Degree with lecture qualification). He holds a PhD in finance from Technical University of Munich and a Master degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Munich University and Warwick Business School. Additionally, he holds an Honors Degree in Technology Management from the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM).
